December Luncheon: Food Drive Contest & Toast

This luncheon is going to be great! We will be having a contest to see who brings in the most non-perishable food items to benefit the Treasure Coast Food Bank. The winner gets a prize and all who participate will be featured in a group photo. We will also be toasting to a great year past and approaching. Our speaker will be Lewana Dupree, Executive Wine Consultant with Scout and Cellar. Lewana will be sharing with us:

  • Proper way to enjoy bubbly wine (including a glass for us all)
  • Clean Crafted process
  • Wines to match an occasion or season
The luncheon will be Friday, December 13th from  11:30 am – 1:30 pm at Regency Independent Living.  910 Regency Sq. Vero Beach, FL 32967
(follow signs for parking please).

Many of you have asked to be able to pay by credit card and thanks to Eventbrite, we now can without taking away funds from the charities we support. From now until January, Feed the Lambs will be our benefactor. In order to give them full funding each month, we need at least 75 ladies to attend.  Please keep sharing our group with others.

Looking to reserve your seat? Pay here now.

While at the site, please take a peek around. Learn about all the wonderful ladies who have active listings on our directory. Take the time to establish your own listing. Consider what speakers and topics you wish to hear. Share that information with me via email or through the site even our FB page. As your hostess, I hope you will make time to join us each month, establish your business on our site and see how your business can grow.

Thank you Counter Culture of Vero Beach!

Due to the large hurricane projected to have hit the Treasure Coast, our luncheon nearly did not happen in September.   Regency Independent Living, our host venue, had to evacuate with their residents and coming back the day before our luncheon made it impossible for their staff to setup and work our event.  However, we were lucky that Chef Anthony and his amazing team at Counter Culture of Vero Beach were able to take our group in for the September 6th lunch.

A gorgeous spread that included fresh lettuce and a variety of toppings for gourmet salads were displayed first. Followed by freshly baked rolls, a delightful Mediterranean pasta salad and shrimp saute filled with sweet corn, tomatoes and onions.  A dazzlingly array of desserts, including a chocolate and peanut butter bar, adorned the end of the buffet line.  Perhaps the star of the spread though was the freshly made citrus vinaigrette; featuring fresh orange zest.  Open to the public, six days a week, this is a great restaurant that features local ingredients and amazing nightly specials. Located @ The Boulevard on north Indian River Blvd. 1620 Blvd Village Lane Vero Beach, FL 32967.

Monday – Friday: 11:30am – 2:00pm & 5pm – 9pm, Saturday: 10:30am – 2:00pm

Sixty-nine ladies attended and each seemed genuinely elated to reconnect with each other after having July and August off.  Our featured speaker was Monica Shellbeck, Training Advisor with Dale Carnegie Training of South Florida. It was wonderful to learn and receive our own copy of the Golden Principles.  A portion of the proceeds will go to Feed the Lambs from September through January.
